Photographers mistake 66-year-old Debbie Harry for Lindsay Lohan
NEW YORK -- Photographers staking out a New York City hotel snapped pictures of a woman they thought was Lindsay Lohan, only to realize the blonde in the photographs was 66-year-old Debbie Harry.
When the Blondie frontwoman left the Mercer Hotel on Sunday, photographers crowded around her, believing they were shooting pictures of the 25-year-old actress, who had hosted "Saturday Night Live" in the Big Apple.
Harry did appear rather Lohan-like, with her platinum blonde, face-framing fringe and aviator sunglasses visible under her hooded jacket.
The image is similar to one snapped of Lohan two days earlier as she exited the same hotel. The two women do share a similar complexion and face structure, despite their 41-year age difference.
Lohan has been criticized in recent months for looking older than her age.
When she appeared at the amFAR Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in February, many observers commented that her overly bleached hair, nude makeup and matronly dress added years to her look.
Lohan flew back to Los Angeles Monday, after her fourth "SNL" hosting gig. While her performance earned mixed reviews, it was the second most-watched episode of "SNL" so far this season, behind an episode featuring former NBA star Charles Barkley.
