Day 1

Good news I'm not in traction. LOL Abby is wonderful. We spent time talking about my lifestyle last night, she has even offered to take me grocery shopping to get me started on buying the correct foods. I did the treadmill (at a incline first time in my life walking up HILL) LOL.

We did some floor exercises. Abby stated we will be starting slow with the workouts. Abby really wants to work on my food choices at first which I think is the greatest thing ever. This is just not a gym that you go and workout in, these trainers are willing to work with people to help change their lifestyles which I think is amazing. I will be going pretty much every day or close to everyday. I will say last night I slept better than I ever had and this morning I feel a little stiff but actually I feel better then usual. I will email again on later this week. Or if you guys want to set up a time that I can call in the morning I am willing to do that. I forgot to mention the pictures we took last night. Abby decided that she is not going to let me see my before pictures until the end. Hopefully they don't turn up on U-TUBE LOL. Talk to you later.

(Sidenote) I was asked to get a sugar free latte today. First time in 10 years I have gotten a healthy latte. We will see how that works for me today. I even went to the grocery store last night and bought some healthy foods. WOW. Yesterday was the first day of the rest of my NEW LIFE. I better work now.

Day 2

Is it morning already. Well last night Abby had me do a real circuit workout WOW is the only word I can think of except for this morning the word of the day is OUCH, but a good ouch (do they make a Band-Aid for this type of soreness) LOL. Even though it has only been 2 days my blood sugar is better and my mood is also better. Who would of thought taking care of your body could make such a difference in life, I never did. Last night when I left my legs were very rubbery.  With all the ice outside and my rubbery legs I was thinking of buying some ice skates with the thought that it might be easier to get around town and at the same time I would still be getting exercise. I met some great people at Max Training last night.  Seriously everyone there is so friendly, happy and nice. Being able to workout and have fun visiting with other people makes the time just fly by.

Talk to you later.

Saturday: 1/30/10
Hi everyone. I just got done working out with Abby. What a great morning. I had not been to the gym since Wednesday. Abby kept telling it will get easier and I will not be as sore as I have been, and she was correct (she pretty much always is, because she's great). I feel so good after today's workout. I think my body might of been having withdrawals from not working out Thru and Fri because this morning after working out I am full of energy. After my workout I hung around and watch the Sat morning circuit class which Abby said in about 3 weeks I should be ready to join. It looked like a lot of fun, with a bunch of great people. Today Abby and I talked a lot about what I should do the week I'm in Mexico in regards to eating and exercising.  I have a couple a bad habits that I'm going to try and break while I'm in Mexico  (one of  those is the  Latte that I love).  I can honestly say I am looking forward to going to Max Training on Monday and hitting it hard again. After I get back from Mexico Abby said we will start working on Nutrition more. Thanks for a great morning Abby. Talk to everyone later.

Tuesday: 2/2/10
Well just a small note to let everyone know that I am starting week 2 tonight. Since last Tuesday I have had to cut down on the amount of insulin I take as my blood sugar is already getting better. I am at a loss for words. I am a true believer of exercising and eating health now.  I just want to stand up and shout it out to everyone what Max Training and Abby are the best for what they have done for me in just 1 week. This is crazy. I can not believe it took me 36 years to finally figure it out. Like Abby says "It all about choices" you make the correct choices and life can and will be good. I would say with the right choices the rest of my (long) life is going to be amazing.
THANKS MAX TRAINING

ONE WEEK ACCOMPLISHED!
Well as of yesterday I have completed one week of working out at Max Training. I had a great workout last night. I'm wondering if anyone knows how high the incline on a treadmill goes? I had the incline up to 7 last night.I would of never guessed I could walk on the treadmill at any incline except 1 and I did. I also weighed in last night, I have lost 3.5 lbs in the first week. The numbers on the scale can not compare to the way I feel. I feel great. I can feel things tightening up. Tomorrow Abby will be giving me some exercises to do while I am no vacation (I wish I could just take her with me). I was really excited this morning as I woke up and I was not sore and my pants are kind of baggy. Next week will be the real test being on vacation and trying to continue to eat healthier. Mexico is known for there wonderful pastries but I will continue with my will power and keep that little voice (Abby) in the back of my head saying "choices, its all about choices." I have never been excited about wearing a bathing suit and this year I bought a new one and I can not wait to wear it as I feel much more tone around my mid section so I will not be ashamed to wear a swim suit. My goal for next week is to make sure I do my workouts in Mexico and to be able to come home and have the scale reflect that. Talk to you later.

JaNae's Story

Why Does JaNae Want To Lose Big?

"I have been heavy all my life. In school I was not popular due to the fact I did not/could not wear/fit into the clothes that everyone else wore (GUESS JEANS ETC). My mom had me in weight classes from the time I was 12 years old. As a adult I have developed Type 2 Diabetes and high blood pressure do to being over weight my whole life. I was always teased by everyone including my family for what I ate and for my size. At the age of 34 I was told having a baby was pretty much out of the question due to my Diabetes and high blood pressure so I have given up any thoughts of having children. I feel I would be a great candidate for this lose big challenge. The doctors have told me if I lose weight my Diabetes and high blood pressure will go away. I would give anything to be healthy. I have tried for years on my own and even considered going on the biggest loser. I know if I had someone to help me I could do it. I really would like to live long enough to see my best friends which are (my 5 and 2 year old nephews) graduate from college and get married. At the rate I am going I will not be around to see that. Please help me, thank you JaNae Keil (AKA: A young woman with a great outgoing personality Desperately seeking a healthier life style)."
