Now that we’re in the middle of Lent, it’s time to look at the states where people REALLY need to repent for their sins.
The website WalletHub just released the results of a study where they ranked all of the states from the most to least SINFUL.
The rankings are based on stats that correspond to the seven deadly sins. So, for wrath, they looked at things like violent crimes and hate groups. For envy, theft and fraud. For greed, casinos and charitable donations.
For pride, plastic surgery rates and beauty salons. For sloth, the exercise rates and average daily TV time. For lust, porn viewing rates. And for gluttony, obesity rates and smoking and drinking rates.
So based on all that, the 10 most sinful states are: Florida . . . California . . . Nevada . . . Texas . . . Georgia . . . Tennessee . . . Illinois . . . Michigan . . . Arkansas . . . and Louisiana.
And the 10 least sinful are: Vermont . . . North Dakota . . . Maine . . . Utah . . . Iowa . . . Wyoming . . . New Hampshire . . . Idaho . . . Nebraska . . . and South Dakota.
