In 2001, BILL MURRAY and his brothers opened the Murray Brothers Caddyshack restaurant in St. Augustine, Florida. And now, they just opened another one in Chicago.
It’s got 237 seats, 31 TVs, a huge bar, a lounge with a fireplace, and lots of “Caddyshack” movie memorabilia.
The menu even has a cocktail called the Pool Water Martini . . . which is made from chocolate vodka, Frangelico, blue curacao, and a Baby Ruth candy bar. (Inspired, of course, by one of the best scenes in the movie.)
Bill’s brother Brian Doyle-Murray actually co-wrote “Caddyshack”, and played Lou Loomis. It was based on the real-life experiences of the Murray brothers and director Harold Ramis, who worked as caddies when they were kids.
(Here’s the website for both Caddyshack locations. Sounds like a cool place to go, although someone needs to explain to me why their motto isn’t, “You’ll get nothing and like it!”)
